About
Independent intelligence on emerging risk.
Greymark Research is a commercial applied-research and intelligence company. We investigate the risks forming in digital, AI, and biological systems that change faster than anyone can map them, and we turn what we find into intelligence, reports, and applied research for the institutions that have to keep up.
What we do
Our subject is the territory conventional oversight has not reached yet: open and unregulated AI, the platforms children actually use, the markets where capability and access are traded, and the data ecosystems beneath all of it. We map how risk forms and moves through that territory, and we get the intelligence to the people who can act on it, whether that is a regulator, an insurer, or a safeguarding lead.
How we work
What makes that possible is human-AI synergy: analyst judgement and machine scale running as a single research engine. It is how a small, independent team maps ecosystems too large and too fast-moving for conventional desk research, and keeps the map current. A named human owns every finding.

We are a commercial company, and we are independent of the people we report on. We take no funding or partnership from the AI labs whose platforms we examine. Our child-safeguarding intelligence is never sold, and goes to regulators first. We name public actors only where the evidence warrants it, and never expose what a person has kept private. Independence is what our findings rest on, so we set it out in full and expect to be held to it.

Greymark runs its work through focused projects. DigiShield Kids is our line on the AI risks reaching children. Greymark Intelligence is our commercial intelligence on open and frontier AI risk. Satoru is our internal research and development project. Each has its own page.

Greymark Research was founded by Dr Andrew Langley, who leads its research. His work runs across the philosophy and methodology of AI evaluation and the practice of human-AI synergy. Alex Punter is a director of the company.
